“In this place, we all live together. We have a dog. We call him Tiger. He is our favorite. He sleeps in our kitchen at night. Tiger belonged to one of my brothers-in-law. He bought Tiger home when he was a little pup. He raised him with love and affection. During last eid vacation, we all went to our village. Tiger was sitting right outside our brother-in-law’s room the whole morning, even though none of us were home. We had no idea that our brother-in-law would pass away right that morning. What a bond he had with his master! He sensed the menace from this far! Since my brother-in-law’s death, I have been looking after him. My nephew really loved Tiger and cared for him. He showered the dog with shampoo once a week; feed him well. Everything was on point when it came to taking care of Tiger. But my nephew left for Malaysia all of a sudden in the prospect of some work. Now, this Tiger’s responsibility is solely mine.
Our dog is very friendly. Whenever he meets someone new, he starts barking. But after introducing him to the person, he gets friendly. He doesn’t bite. Our neighbors are very fond of him as well. There is this guy, who works in a hotel. He often brings back food from the hotel for Tiger. Tiger adores him as well.”
